| Needed: Beans, Bullets & Bandages - Hampton Roads, VA - June 2005 |
|
Dear Friends, We just finished our annual MTM Staff Conference for this year. Along with the encouragement and challenges presented the overwhelming realization was that we need more beans, bullets, and bandages. This is military jargon for fresh supplies of food, ammunition, and medical care. It is not that we as a group lack any of the necessities of life, but we need to know that others are coming up behind us to help us out and even take over when age or health prohibits us from continuing on in the ministry. Many of our missionaries and Centers are under supported, almost to the point of lacking necessities. God graciously provides, but we wonder how much more could be done to reach the military for Christ if there was not this burden of dwindling finances. This is not an appeal for more funds, though if the Lord impresses you in that way we will not refuse. This is an appeal for your prayers that those who are being called to this ministry will step out in faith and see the mighty hand of God provide for them in grand and glorious ways; an appeal to get the word out about the ministry so that there are more people to minister to for Gods glory and their growth; an appeal to spread the word so that those considering full time ministry would consider joining our ranks so that we can win and train the military for Christ. We appreciate your prayers, support and encouragement. You are part of the beans, bullets, and bandages that the Lord sends our way. Because of your faithfulness we are able to fight on the front lines. Thank you for your gracious prayers and financial support. Earnestly pray with us that those the Lord is sending in to the harvest will heed the call. Serving the Captain of Our Salvation, John & Sandy Seaton June 2005 Prayer & Praise
